Embark on one of our signature journeys

Welcome to the little black book of Safaris. Each year we put together our Conservation Centric Signature Journeys - which are either run as small group departures or as a privately guided journey.

Each one of the Signature Journeys below gives our guests behind the scenes access to some of the most remote and pristine conservation areas on the African Continent and offering a unique cultural immersion in each region.

Tracking the Great Lions

Tracking the Great Lions

Spend 10 Nights alongside Martin Meyer exploring three vastly different regions; from the Semi Arid Madikwe Game Reserve, home to the huge Kalahari Black Maned Lions to the Magical Timbavati Game Reserve famed for the rare and elusive White Lions before ending this amazing adventure in the heart of the Okavango Delta, home to National Geographic Filmmakers, Dereck and Beverly Joubert where over decades they have documented the prides of the Delta's unique hunting strategies.

This Journey starts and ends in Johannesburg, and is perfectly suited to add on a visit to the Cosmopolitan city of Cape Town.

in the footsteps of the Great Explorers

in the footsteps of the great explorers

Take a step back in time with this unique private exploration, and follow the footsteps of great explorers such as David Livingstone, Robert Moffat, Henry Morton Stanley and many more.

David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer, is believed to have been the first European to view Victoria Falls on 16 November 1855, from what is now known as Livingstone Island, one of two land masses in the middle of the river, immediately upstream from the falls near the Zambian shore.

Robert Moffat, a Scottish missionary to Africa and Bible translator, who was known for his efforts to improve local living standards in Africa. He was also the father-in-law of the missionary and explorer David Livingstone. Moffat set up a missionary station within what is today known as the Madikwe Game Reserve.

Sir Henry Morton Stanley GCB was a Welsh journalist and explorer who was famous for his exploration of central Africa and his search for missionary and explorer David Livingstone. Upon finding Livingstone, Stanley claimed to have delivered the, now famous, line: “Dr Livingstone, I presume?”

Privately guided by Martin Meyer, this exploration is perfect for History Lovers, Wildlife Enthusiasts and anyone wanting to delve into a wondrous Southern African Expedition.
